I have so enjoyed just lounging around doing absolutely what I wanted to do. It's been one of those crazy busy weeks so it's some much needed downtime. Halloween was fun! I love the parade at school. My coworkers and I were the three blind mice. Some of the kids don't know the three blind mice apparently because one of them said, "there are sure a lot of blind cats this year." We got a good laugh out of that.
I came home from school and started on making the doughnut dough. We make doughnuts every year for Halloween, at least a hundred. We love them and it brings lots of friends and family over for samples. Shaili came and helped me roll them out and Kevin got home just in time to cook. I was hot that afternoon, it had been one of those unseasonably warm days, so I had opened the windows. Sooo... the doughnuts didn't raise like they should have so we had to heat the place up so they would raise.
It was fun seeing all the grandkids in their costumes and all. They are such a bright spot in our lives.
Josh called too that afternoon and I was glad to hear from him. He said they have 200 miles left of their 800 mile trek. Can't even imagine.
We missed seeing Spencer and Kristen this year on Halloween. They had to drive their route to deliver blood to Ogden.
We got a huge snow storm on Tues. It was a big change after how nice it was for Halloween. It snowed about 3 inches then we got more yesterday. I don't want to complain because we need the moisture but I certainly wouldn't mind if it had been rain. The cold always comes too soon no matter when it comes.
Friday night, the girls and their husbands took Kevin and I out for our thirtieth anniversary which was Oct. 23. We went to Texas Roadhouse. Loved it! Not only was the food to die for but the company was even better. We hadn't been out as adults since I don't even remember. Love my kids too. They are all becoming such incredible adults.

Thirty years and who's counting.
Today is our thirtieth anniversary. Wow! That's amazing to me. For one, that I'm old enough to have been married for thirty years and it just seems to have gone by so fast. I'm so grateful for my awesome husband. Thanks Kevin, let's go another thirty...

Okay, so I'm new to this as you can tell by my very plain and boring blog. I just want a place to write down some random thoughts and happenings. Also, I wanted to be able to comment on other peoples blogs and had to have an account to do that so...
I got to witness the birth of my newest grandson yesterday and was that ever the coolest thing. I even got to catch him, (with a lot of Dr Willis' help). I'm feeling so ecstatic about this. It's an indescribable feeling of pure joy. Birth is such a natural occurrence and yet the greatest miracle of all. I've given birth to four children of my own but never witnessed one. I'm really grateful for that opportunity. It was amazing to say the least.
